  What to wear

We run our classes on the Bedford Channel.

We recommend:

Comfortable shorts that do not absorb a lot of water.

Water shoes or sandals.

A hat and sunscreen are always a good idea.

A dry change of clothes or a sweat shirt is nice for your ride home.

Day camp participants should always bring a complete change of clothes - as well as a drink & snack or two.

Kayaking & Canoeing

Our programs are designed to introduce the sport of kayaking and canoeing. You can paddle recreationally or compete at flatwater regattas.

We offer many different kayaking and canoeing programs for paddlers of all ages. We provide all the necessary equipment: boats, paddles and lifejackets.

Attending the summer day camps, youth paddlers will try a variety of boats during the course of the week and learn basic paddling and water safety skills.

Our evening programs for youth and adult paddlers instruct participants in basic kayaking and water safety skills using stable kayaks.

Once you have taken an introductory class, you are invited to join any of our intermediate programs.

The competitive youth program includes on-going training with qualified coaches and prepares individuals and teams for regattas across North America.

We offer opportunities for all members of our community to experience the power of paddling regardless of abilities through the use of adaptive equipment and the guidance of trained volunteers.

Check out the programs listed at the right or email John for more info.
